The Snow is BACK
Well the snow is back. We seem to go from one extreme to the other. I guess God is blessing us with the moisture to make things grow. Not only do we have about 15" of new snow now it is going to be very cold. It was a semi busy day at work but thankful nothing major happened. There was a loss to a family I have known all my life. They lost their daughter to a battle of cancer. I know that there is so much sorrow for them now but she is in a better place and is free of the pain. My heart goes out to each of them. Please keep them in your prayers!!!

Well it flooded our little town again
It started raining again yesterday and woke me several times during the night raining so hard. When my hubby left for work he soon returned home as the road was covered with water. My son finally made it home from work about 3 hours after he got off work. I made it all the way to the local Rite-Aides and when I phoned one of the deputies he told me there was no way I could get to the 911 Center. So nothing left to do but head back home. I pray that the ones in the flooded areas are OK and didn't have a lot of loss. Some that I know have been threw so much when it comes to the floods of our little town. Now it is snowing again ... and the temps are suppose to drop very low again. I guess it is one of the old fashion winters. The picture above is my Aunts house my heart and undying love goes out to her and all that have to deal with this once again.

More Crafts
This arrangement is made using an old lunch box as the container. The lunch box has been painted with the crackle type paint and accented with ivy. The flowers are fall flowers and fall leaves. I have done other arrangements and this one is the talk of every show.
The lunch box measures 10 inches long and arrangement over all is approximately 12 inches at the tallest point.
This sign says Seasons Greeting on the front with a church wood burned on the left. This is made out of oak lumber. The edges are routered. Two sawtooth hangers will be shipped with the sign so that you can hang if you desire. It measures 9 1/4 x 22 1/2 x 1. The "Seasons Greetings" is also routered into the board and the church is woodburned into it.
I do all different types of signs from silly sayings to welcome. I will be posting more wood working soon.
Please remember that these are handmade and no 2 are exactly alike.

Bad Weather is Back
Well it was nice to have a few days of warmer weather. Now it's back to ice and snow. I am glad that myself and daughter don't have to be out in it but worry about my son and hubby that do. I just pray that all out on the roads are safe. I have stayed in today and cleaned house and worked on crafts. I have been so blessed by so many that have purchased from me and now going to work on Valentine's Day ornaments. I will be posting pictures of them soon. Everyone have a safe and wonderful night and prayers to my friend that lost her sister this week. God be with you all.

Something We Need To Do More Of
This email has been sent to me several times for a long time. It's something we all need to do more of. We tend to dwell more on our own problems. A friend of mine and her family are dealing with a very tough situation at this time and I pray that God will comfort them at this time.
I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.
The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.
The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.
'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas.
She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'
I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.
But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'
His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'' My heart nearly stopped.
The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.''I love my mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.'
Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll!'''OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'
Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'''I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'''My mommy loves white roses.'
A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.
I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.
I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.
I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.
And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.
What faith, love of God this boy had. A Christian lady helped this child with Love of
God in her heart. This is being Christ Like.

Sunday
Sorry for not posting for a few days. I was out of town helping a friend on Thursday and Friday. Then it was back to work on Saturday and for the rest of my week. Well the snow has let up and now we have the rain. We are under flood watch so let pray now that we don't flood. I have been doing a lot of crocheting the past few evenings. I decided my granddaughter needed a new hat so I came up with a pattern and crochet her one. So that has led to several orders for which I am thankful. Well my work day is coming to and end and now it is home to spend some time with the family before some head off to work later. I promise I will get better at posting. Hope all of you have a wonderful evening.

Monday
Well today has been and very enlightening day. My one coworker Sherry isn't feeling the greatest so she in trusted 911 to the care of Florence and I. With that came dealing with our loving boss. We had a great day in less than 2 hrs we get to go home to our families. Which brings more task such as laundry and cleaning and lets not forget cooking. I hope to finish a crochet cap for my granddaughter and possibly do an order for one I have. I love crafting and it's what relaxes me and after some days at my job I truly need it. I hope to get the new craft idea I have pulled together soon. Also coming soon will be a post on the new store in Webster that I have been fortunately enough to have my crafts at Make It Personal Boutique. Also I will be helping friends advertise their products and dreams. Everyone needs some spice to their lives and I am truly blessed.

"THE FIX"
This is an email I received and with all the problems in our country today I think this man has the right idea!
The Fix
There recently was an article in the St. Petersburg Fl. Times. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on: "How Would You Fix the Economy?" I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. President,
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered – Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage – Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!!
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes...
Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!
I really believe he NAILED IT !!!

New
Well this is all new to me and was suggested to me by a friend. I am a wife of almost 26 years a mother of one son and one daughter. I am the lucky grandmother of one very active and loveable granddaughter. I have been crafting for more years than I can remember. One of the most rewarding craft is the Memory Bulb. I have made several from articles of clothing of lost loved ones. What better way to cherish a lost loved one than with a Memory Bulb. Email me a photo that you cherish or an article of clothing and let me create an ornament for you to cherish for a lifetime. Each ornament is uniquely handmade and no 2 will very be exactly alike.
